Materials: IKEA FIGGJO, sheet metal, scissors, and super glue.
Description: About a month ago, I had acquired the IKEA FIGGJO mirror (their version of the modern starburst) but I had no idea what to do with it. I wasn't crazy about the black frames and I was a bit perplexed by the frameless center mirror.
I decided I wanted to make it into a more classic sunburst mirror using gold metal. Instructions below.
1. Cut out 3 levels of metal sheet strips: long (for the back), mid length (for middle level of the starburst), and short and wide (for the center bursts). You'll want to cut a ton of these to go around all of the mirrors.
2. Super glue each layer on.
3. Let dry, hang, and enjoy!
