      • It really is clear that, we sought to determine whether racial disparities in tumor (i.e., neoplasm) characteristics among uterine cancer patients persisted, and varied by age, in an equal-access (i.e., access opening) healthcare population. Uterine cancer, cancer that forms in tissues of the uterus (the small, hollow, pear-shaped organ in a woman`s pelvis in which a fetus develops). Two types of uterine cancer are endometrial cancer (cancer that begins in cells lining the uterus) and uterine sarcoma (a rare cancer that begins in muscle or other tissues in the uterus). Tumor is an abnormal mass of tissue that results when cells divide more than they should or do not die when they should. Tumors may be benign (not cancer), or malignant (cancer). Also called neoplasm (i.e., new growth, or tumor).
