      • It`s obvious that, only a minority of tested genes underwent significant repositioning (i.e., reduction) in a given malignant neoplastic disease tissue, suggesting that repositioning is gene-specific and does not reflect a large-scale (i.e., squama) alteration in gene organization. Significant is in statistics, describes a mathematical measure of difference between groups. The difference is said to be significant if it is greater than what might be expected to happen by chance alone. Also called statistically significant. Alteration is a change resulting in something that is different from the original.

      • Finally, for instance, researchers have identified several genes whose spatial position inside the cell core group is altered in invasive breast (i.e., mamma, or teat) malignant neoplastic disease when compared to normal breast tissue. Cell is the individual unit that makes up the tissues of the body. All living things are made up of one or more cells. Breast, glandular (i.e., glandulous) organ located on the chest (i.e., pectus). The breast is made up of connective tissue (i.e., interstitial tissue, or supporting tissue), fat, and breast tissue that contains the glands that can make milk (i.e., strip, or lac). Also called mammary gland (i.e., glandula mammaria, or lactiferous gland).
