Cancer cells can also spread to other parts of the body through the blood and lymph systems. There are several main types of cancer. This includes current and past illnesses. A family history may show a pattern of certain diseases in a family. Also called family medical history. Sporadic cancer, cancer that occurs in people who do not have a family history of that cancer or an inherited change in their DNA that would increase their risk for that cancer.
