Therapy, treatment. Cancer is a term for diseases in which abnormal cells divide without control and can invade nearby tissues. Cancer cells can also spread to other parts of the body through the blood and lymph systems. There are several main types of cancer. Carcinoma is a cancer that begins in the skin or in tissues that line or cover internal organs. Sarcoma is a cancer that begins in bone, cartilage, fat, muscle, blood vessels, or other connective or supportive tissue. Leukemia is a cancer that starts in blood-forming tissue such as the bone marrow, and causes large numbers of abnormal blood cells to be produced and enter the blood. Lymphoma and multiple myeloma are cancers that begin in the cells of the immune system. Central nervous system cancers are cancers that begin in the tissues of the brain and spinal cord. Also called malignancy.

      • It is obvious that, construction and identification of recombinant mouse HVEM adeno-associated virus?AbstractObjective To clone mouse HVEM gene into AAV vector pAAV-IRES-hrGFP and obtain high titer and purity recombinant mouse HVEM-AAV and infection of CHO cells for expression, to lay the foundation for immuno-gene therapy. Methods Framework plasmid of recombinant HVEM-AAV was constructed by gene recombination. Gene therapy is a type of experimental treatment in which foreign genetic material (DNA or RNA) is inserted into a person`s cells to prevent or fight disease. Gene therapy is being studied in the treatment of certain types of cancer. Gene is the functional and physical unit of heredity passed from parent to offspring. Genes are pieces of DNA, and most genes contain the information for making a specific protein. Virus is in medicine, a very simple microorganism that infects cells and may cause disease. Because viruses can multiply only inside infected cells, they are not considered to be alive. Infection, invasion and multiplication of germs in the body. Infections can occur in any part of the body and can spread throughout the body. The germs may be bacteria, viruses, yeast, or fungi. They can cause a fever and other problems, depending on where the infection occurs. When the body`s natural defense system is strong, it can often fight the germs and prevent infection. Some cancer treatments can weaken the natural defense system. Recombinant is in genetics, describes DNA, proteins, cells, or organisms that are made by combining genetic material from two different sources. Recombinant substances are made in the laboratory and are being studied in the treatment of cancer and for many other uses.

      • Finally, for instance, poorly differentiated squamous cell cancer has been associated with EBV antibodies.[4,12] High-titer antibodies to virus capsid antigen and early antigen, especially of high IgA class, or high titers that persist after therapy, have been associated with a poorer prognosis.[13] This finding remains under evaluation. Squamous cell, flat cell that looks like a fish scale under a microscope. These cells cover inside and outside surfaces of the body. They are found in the tissues that form the surface of the skin, the lining of the hollow organs of the body (such as the bladder, kidney, and uterus), and the passages of the respiratory and digestive tracts. EBV is a common virus that remains dormant in most people. It causes infectious mononucleosis and has been associated with certain cancers, including Burkitt lymphoma, immunoblastic lymphoma, and nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Also called Epstein-Barr virus. Antigen, any substance that causes the body to make a specific immune response. Prognosis is the likely outcome or course of a disease; the chance of recovery or recurrence.
