    1. cancer serum albumin

Albumin is a type of protein found in blood, egg white, milk, and other substances. Serum albumin is the main protein in blood plasma. Low levels of serum albumin occur in people with malnutrition, inflammation, and serious liver and kidney disease. Serum is the clear liquid part of the blood that remains after blood cells and clotting proteins have been removed. Cancer is a term for diseases in which abnormal cells divide without control and can invade nearby tissues. Cancer cells can also spread to other parts of the body through the blood and lymph systems. There are several main types of cancer. Carcinoma is a cancer that begins in the skin or in tissues that line or cover internal organs. Sarcoma is a cancer that begins in bone, cartilage, fat, muscle, blood vessels, or other connective or supportive tissue. Leukemia is a cancer that starts in blood-forming tissue such as the bone marrow, and causes large numbers of abnormal blood cells to be produced and enter the blood. Lymphoma and multiple myeloma are cancers that begin in the cells of the immune system. Central nervous system cancers are cancers that begin in the tissues of the brain and spinal cord. Also called malignancy.

      • It`s that, a multivariate prognostic factor analysis demonstrated that for lung cancer, the percent of weight loss, serum albumin concentration, and presence of liver metastases were significant (P less than .05) and independent prognostic variables for survival duration. For colorectal cancer, serum albumin, alkaline phosphatase, lactic dehydrogenase (LDH (Lactic dehydrogenase)) levels, and percent targeted caloric intake (TCI) were significant independent predictors of survival duration. Concentration is in science, the amount of a substance, such as a salt, that is in a certain amount of tissue or liquid, such as blood. A substance becomes more concentrated when less water is present. For example, the salt in urine may become more concentrated when a person doesn`t drink enough water. Lung cancer, cancer that forms in tissues of the lung, usually in the cells lining air passages. The two main types are small cell lung cancer and non-small cell lung cancer. These types are diagnosed based on how the cells look under a microscope. Colorectal, having to do with the colon or the rectum. Colorectal cancer, cancer that develops in the colon (the longest part of the large intestine) and/or the rectum (the last several inches of the large intestine before the anus). Analysis is a process in which anything complex is separated into simple or less complex parts. Prognostic factor is a situation or condition, or a characteristic of a patient, that can be used to estimate the chance of recovery from a disease or the chance of the disease recurring (coming back). Lung, one of a pair of organs in the chest that supplies the body with oxygen, and removes carbon dioxide from the body. Significant is in statistics, describes a mathematical measure of difference between groups. The difference is said to be significant if it is greater than what might be expected to happen by chance alone. Also called statistically significant. LDH, one of a group of enzymes found in the blood and other body tissues, and involved in energy production in cells. An increased amount in the blood may be a sign of tissue damage and some types of cancer or other diseases. Also called lactate dehydrogenase and lactic acid dehydrogenase. Liver is a large organ located in the upper abdomen. The liver cleanses the blood and aids in digestion by secreting bile. Caloric intake, refers to the number of calories (energy content) consumed.

      • It appears that, BIA however, has not been extensively validated in clinical cancer settings and little is known about the relationship between BIA and serum albumin. Clinical, having to do with the examination and treatment of patients.

      • Finally, it really is obvious that, demographic data included age, gender, and ethnicity/race, prior thromboembolic history, cancer, serum albumin, and time in therapeutic range. Therapeutic, having to do with treating disease and helping healing take place.
