- cancer congenital
Congenital is a condition or trait present at birth. It may be the result of genetic or non-genetic factors. Cancer is a term for diseases in which abnormal cells divide without control and can invade nearby tissues. Cancer cells can also spread to other parts of the body through the blood and lymph systems. There are several main types of cancer. Carcinoma is a cancer that begins in the skin or in tissues that line or cover internal organs. Sarcoma is a cancer that begins in bone, cartilage, fat, muscle, blood vessels, or other connective or supportive tissue. Leukemia is a cancer that starts in blood-forming tissue such as the bone marrow, and causes large numbers of abnormal blood cells to be produced and enter the blood. Lymphoma and multiple myeloma are cancers that begin in the cells of the immune system. Central nervous system cancers are cancers that begin in the tissues of the brain and spinal cord. Also called malignancy.
Preview- It might seem apparant that, therefore, YES, certain types of cancer are hereditary. Current scientific opinion is that cancer is a disease caused by mutations in DNA or changes in the way certain genes are expressed, so by its very nature, cancer can be hereditary. However, you must also understand that these mutations can be in either somatic cells (cells in your body pretty much everywhere except your reproductive organs) or they can be in both somatic and germ cells (cells which make eggs and sperm). Hereditary, transmitted from parent to child by information contained in the genes. Germ is a bacterium, virus, or other microorganism that can cause infection and disease. Sperm is the male reproductive cell, formed in the testicle. A sperm unites with an egg to form an embryo. Somatic, having to do with the body.
- Finally, it really is clear that, probably, a cancer is a natural evolutionary fate of a cell in multicellular organism. Organism is a living thing, such as an animal, a plant, a bacterium, or a fungus.
