    1. cancer neutropenia

Neutropenia is a condition in which there is a lower-than-normal number of neutrophils (a type of white blood cell). Cancer is a term for diseases in which abnormal cells divide without control and can invade nearby tissues. Cancer cells can also spread to other parts of the body through the blood and lymph systems. There are several main types of cancer. Carcinoma is a cancer that begins in the skin or in tissues that line or cover internal organs. Sarcoma is a cancer that begins in bone, cartilage, fat, muscle, blood vessels, or other connective or supportive tissue. Leukemia is a cancer that starts in blood-forming tissue such as the bone marrow, and causes large numbers of abnormal blood cells to be produced and enter the blood. Lymphoma and multiple myeloma are cancers that begin in the cells of the immune system. Central nervous system cancers are cancers that begin in the tissues of the brain and spinal cord. Also called malignancy.

      • It could seem to be apparant that, the more risk factors, the greater the risk. Being aware of these risk factors helps health professionals to anticipate the problem of febrile neutropenia. Multivariate analysis shows that age is a very important risk factor, and all older cancer patients need to be aware that they are at greater risk of febrile neutropenia when starting chemotherapy, usually not just because of their age but also because of the comorbidities that accompany the ageing process. Febrile neutropenia is a condition marked by fever and a lower-than-normal number of neutrophils in the blood. A neutrophil is a type of white blood cell that helps fight infection. Having too few neutrophils increases the risk of infection. Analysis is a process in which anything complex is separated into simple or less complex parts. ALL is an aggressive (fast-growing) type of leukemia (blood cancer) in which too many lymphoblasts (immature white blood cells) are found in the blood and bone marrow. Also called acute lymphoblastic leukemia and acute lymphocytic leukemia. Chemotherapy, treatment with drugs that kill cancer cells.

      • It`s possible to observe, the overall purpose of this study is to assess the dose response, efficacy, and safety of three different dose levels of AVI 014 (granulocyte colony-stimulating factor Response is in medicine, an improvement related to treatment. Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor is a colony-stimulating factor that stimulates the production of neutrophils (a type of white blood cell). It is a cytokine that is a type of hematopoietic (blood-forming) agent. Also called filgrastim and G-CSF. Colony-stimulating factor is a substance that stimulates the production of blood cells. Colony-stimulating factors include granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF), granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), and promegapoietin. Granulocyte is a type of immune cell that has granules (small particles) with enzymes that are released during infections, allergic reactions, and asthma. Neutrophils, eosinophils, and basophils are granulocytes. A granulocyte is a type of white blood cell. Also called granular leukocyte, PMN, and polymorphonuclear leukocyte. Efficacy, effectiveness. In medicine, the ability of an intervention (for example, a drug or surgery) to produce the desired beneficial effect.

      • Finally, one can determine, the most common reason that cancer patients experience neutropenia is as a side effect of chemotherapy. Side effect is a problem that occurs when treatment affects healthy tissues or organs. Some common side effects of cancer treatment are fatigue, pain, nausea, vomiting, decreased blood cell counts, hair loss, and mouth sores.
