Preview- It really is clear that, my father is suffering from Pancreatic cancer (CA - 19). Pancreatic cancer is a disease in which malignant (cancer) cells are found in the tissues of the pancreas. Pancreas is a glandular (i.e., glandulous) organ located in the abdomen (i.e., venter). It makes pancreatic juices, which contain enzymes that aid in digestion, and it produces several hormones, including insulin. The pancreas is surrounded by the stomach (i.e., gaster, or ventriculus), intestines, and other organs. Also called exocrine (i.e., eccrine) cancer.
- It seems that, if your father has, in addition to the pancreatic mass, symptoms suggestive of malignant neoplastic disease such as abdominal pain, jaundice (i.e., icterus) (yellowing of the skin and eyes), weight loss, and lack of appetite (i.e., orexia), then a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer may be considered in spitefulness of a normal CA 19-9. Jaundice is a condition in which the skin and the whites of the eyes become yellow, urine darkens, and the color of stool becomes lighter than normal. Jaundice occurs when the liver (i.e., hepar) is not working properly or when a bile (i.e., gall) duct (i.e., ductus) (i.e., common bile duct, or ductus biliaris) is blocked. Liver is a large organ located in the upper abdomen. The liver cleanses the blood and aids (i.e., acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) in digestion by secreting bile. Abdominal, having to do with the abdomen, which is the part of the body between the chest (i.e., pectus) and the hips that contains the pancreas, stomach, intestines, liver, gallbladder (i.e., vesica biliaris, or vesica fellea), and other organs. Mass is in medicine, a lump in the body. It may be caused by the abnormal growth of cells, a cyst, hormonal changes, or an immune reaction. A mass may be benign (not cancer) or malignant (cancer). Appetite is a desire to satisfy a physical or mental (i.e., genial, or genian) need, such as for food, sex, or adventure. Diagnosis is the process (i.e., processus) of identifying a disease, such as cancer, from its signs and symptoms.
- It has been discovered that, in the context of pancreatic cancer diagnosis, I would only consider the CA 19.
