Preview- It is clear that, pURPOSE Phase II trial to study the effectiveness of suramin in treating patients with stage III or stage IV adrenocortical cancer. Suramin is a drug that is used to treat infections caused by parasites. It is also being studied in the treatment of cancer. It belongs to the families of drugs called antiprotozoals and anthelmintics. Stage IV adrenocortical cancer, cancer of the adrenal gland that has spread to fat or organs and to lymph nodes near the adrenal gland or to other parts of the body, such as lungs, liver (i.e., hepar), bones, and abdomen (i.e., venter).
